    • Hi, I just watched you Ellen’s show! I just wanted to say it was refreshing and moving to see that you have taken the initiative to start something that will change the lives of so many people. I too would like to see the world align with this vision you have started. I noticed that you service in Southern California and I live in San Diego. I am 23 y.o. as well and would really like to get involved. I don’t even watch TV often, but I’m so glad I tuned in just to hear your story, I think it was meant to be 🙂 Best of luck on your endeavors.

    • Sure, Just make sure you get flyers out to get the word out about your organization. Also, make sure you try to speak at events or just go to events to promote your organization. If you have any specific questions just email me Someonehelpedme@gmail.com. Thank you for wanting to set up an organization in your community 🙂

    • Iin Delaware, we have an online system called “Freecycle.” I would suggest that you touch base with the person responsible for that program. I don’t have much more info. than that, but I would like to say Good For You! I hope things work out for you, don’t give up.

  6. Reneisha, I just finished watching the Ellen show and I just wanted to tell you how inspiring you are! Ellen chose a wonderful human being in choosing you to be her “Volunteer of the Month”. With a spirit and drive as you have, you will go far in life. Thank you for all you do! Laura in Atlanta

  7. I could not find any link for donations of money to someonehelpedme.com. Is it another one of those thing I cannot see because it is right in front of me? (That seems to happen more and more often with passing of time) I am sure many others who now, thanks to Ellen, have become familiar with your good works, would also like to help.

  13. Hi Reneisha, now I did not have the privilege of getting to see Ellen’s show, where you were on, and named her Volunteer of the Month, in fact after reading all of the postings on this site, I have to say that I am very disappointed that I didn’t get to see it. With that said, the only information that I have about what you have done and continue to do, is solely the information I have gathered from peoples comments, but I have to say, you have captured my full and undivided attention. : )

It would be wonderful and very helpful, if you could be so kind as to give me (in some greater detail) some in depth information on how your organization started and how your program truly works. I know that with the Holidays and the wonderful (I hope) publicity the Ellen Show has brought to your organization and what you do, you are most likely very very busy, and I understand that and I will wait for any information you can send my way, for as long as you need in order to find some free time. I too am very interested in maybe starting something like this in my area, that has been hit hard in the last few years during the recent economic down turn and the “Housing collapse”, that has cause a great deal of people in this area to fall into Foreclosures and loose their homes. Many are now either renting or homeless, and this type of help would hit in perfectly.
So, I excitedly await your response and information. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate you on the honor bestowed upon you by Ellen, and I also want to thank you in advance, for your time and the information you so freely offer to others in order to help, and for your selflessness in your service to those in need. Just remember, our Lord see’s all, and giving or serving others for nothing in return but the joy of it, is something that not only Ellen will reward you for. May the Almighty Lord bless you and all that you do, now and forever.

    In his name,
    Fr. Tony R

Thanks and keep up your good work.

  16. You are a gift from god and you will truly be blessed for being so concerned of others and making a difference in the world , I am planning on opening a Non Profit in the future and just reading your story encourages me even more. There are to many people who watch others suffer and do nothing , but you chose to help .

    Thanks for all you do
